JBU Alumni Association Board
Membership Application
Thank you for your interest in serving on the John Brown University Alumni Association
Board of Directors. The Board currently meets once in the Fall (preludes Homecoming
which is the first or second weekend in October) and once in the Spring (usually
first weekend in April when the JBU Trustees meet).
We realize attendance to these meetings is a major commitment both in time and finances
(transportation and housing while attending meetings is at your own expense, while
most/all on-campus meals are provided). We request you attend at least 75% of the
meetings during your four-year term.
As you complete this application, keep in mind the Alumni Board is a working board.
We want our members to be energetic action oriented volunteers to not only meet
on behalf of our alumni, but to actively pursue how we can motivate our alumni to
participate in the life of our alma mater. As well, we believe in upholding the
JBU Mission Statement the University is to provide Christ-centered education to
students preparing them to honor God and serve other by developing their intellectual,
spiritual, and professional lives.
